Hand Woven Wall Hangings – Geométrica Series CT16GF
Each large wall hanging can take weeks for José Cotacachi and his family to weave by hand on a traditional loom using locally sourced Ecuadorian sheep’s wool. The majority of colors present in each of José’s works come from natural dyes. José is one of the few remaining artisans preserving the tradition of naturally dying wool. This handcrafted piece can be used as a traditional wall hanging, or table runner.
This wall hanging is a red background patterned with block in white and shades of grey. The bottom is a woven red fringe.
